Aapli Aaji: A Taste of Tradition, A Legacy of Love!

Aapli Aaji, whose real name is Mrs. Suman Dhamane, is a 70-year-old grandmother from Sarola Kasar village near Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra. Her culinary journey began in January 2021 when her grandson, Yash Pathak, requested her to prepare Pav Bhaji. Impressed by her unique take on the dish, Yash proposed sharing her recipes online. Despite initial hesitation about facing the camera, Mrs. Dhamane embraced the idea. In March 2021, they launched the "Aapli Aaji" YouTube channel, starting with a bitter gourd recipe. The channel quickly gained popularity, amassing over 600,000 subscribers within six months. Encouraged by this success, Mrs. Dhamane expanded her venture to selling homemade masalas, allowing a broader audience to experience authentic Maharashtrian flavors.
